Rockets have a Goal Feast at the Weekend
The Rockets need just 5 from 8 points from the last four games to go to the National finals at Sheffield Ice May 17/18th.
Telford Rockets play the home tie against Kingston Crunch on Saturday and the first match against bottom of the table Flintshire on Sunday.
The Crunch were denied victory at Hull going down 6-4 so they were out to even up the score with their visit to Telford.
The Rockets game out with both barrels blazing with 5 goals in 5 minutes. This left the Crunch wishing that had not stepped on the ice. The game was all but over when 2 more goals were put passed the Crunch net minder to go 7 up at the end of the first period.
Goals from Mike Steventon x 3, Luke Brittle x 2 and one each from James Warman and Andrew Whitehouse.
This was some of the best play of the season by the Rockets. Pity they did not have the same adrenaline rush when they last played league winners Nottingham. Could have been a different storey. Ben Hunt was on his best form making saves from every quarter as the Crunch tried to come back into the game.
The period ended without any further score . The Rockets were well in control and cemented a great win by 2 more goals towards the end of the period. Taking 2 valuable points to win the game 9 - 0.

Telford v Flinshire
The second game on Sunday saw bottom of the table Flintshire try to stave off another loss.
Flintshire have not won a game this season so on paper were in for another drubbing by an on form Rockets team.
The Rockets did not disappoint their fans - scoring 10 goals in the first period, 5 in the second and 7 to finish the game at 22 - 0.
Goals by Callum Taylor 8, Luke Brittle 6, Paul Rigby 3 and others from Luke Hayward , James Warman, Andrew Whitehouse, Edward Eaton and Ryan Twardun. This win leaves just 1 point from the last two games to clinch that second league place.
